MEET THE BREEDERS

At Gro-T Kennels, we met and fell in love with our beautiful, fun and vivacious female Portuguese Water Dogs in 2019. We were looking for a hypoallergenic dog that was small enough to have inside our tiny house all the time but not too small that they couldn't go out on adventures with us.  We love to hike, horse back ride and camp! We are outside in nature whenever we can be! Our PWDs have been a great addition to our family adventures, they love to camp and play in the water.  They can be found on a Kayak or hunting up sticks on the trail.

We have always loved animals, both Jackee and Will grew up around horses, cattle and dogs.  We had our first child quite a few years ago and found that we were struggling to get pregnant again.  We felt like there was something missing for us and Jackee was struggling with depression.  We had lost our miniature schnauzer three years before and were looking for a hypoallergenic dog that could be inside but that could be outside when we did stuff around the pasture and with our horses.  As we looked, we came upon Rey and Leia, they were a package deal from a nearby breeder who was moving to Hawaii.  After talking to the breeder, we were sold.  Rey and Leia came home and somehow helped to fill the holes in our hearts.  We want to share that love with others, whether they are just looking for a companion, someone to have adventures with or just need some extra love from a very giving dog, we want to help you find your next best friend! At Gro-T Kennels we are growing the best things in life... a best friend forever!
